Ministries
The true character of ministry is a servants heart
“…’Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'”
Matthew 25:37-40
Discretionary Fund
On the first Sunday of the month, all loose offerings or envelopes designated as such in the offering will go to the Pastors Discretionary fund, which is used to meet various needs of those in need. All money donated goes directly to the ministry (the church does not deduct any type of fee). Listed below are some of the ministries we support as a congregation.
Operation Christmas Child – Samaritan Purse
Our congregation provides gifts to underprivileged children overseas through Samaritan’s Purse-Operation Christmas Child. As a congregation we pack many shoeboxes full of gifts, and send it during the Christmas holiday to those who may not receive gifts.
Kid’s In Distress – St. Clair County
Kid in Distress is a 501c3 charity based in Saint Clair, MI whose purpose is to provide free clothing and hygiene products to underprivileged children in the area. We continue to support Kids in Distress by working together as a congregation to make donations.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Church members working in fellowship with members of the community to make blankets, prayer shawls, and more for different foundations in the area. We will be making fabric bags for the homeless to put their belongings in as well as quilts, hats, mittens and socks. We will donate baby blankets and clothes to mothers in maternity care.
Habitat for Humanity
In past years, our church community has supported local homeless shelters, soup kitchens and food banks.
Jail/Prison Ministry
Pastor Ken is actively involved in meeting and letter writing with inmates in various correctional facilities. He ministers to them in the area of spiritual development, reconciliation, personal and spiritual transformation and recovery from addiction.
Adopt A Family
Throughout the holiday and through the year we adopt a family and provide meals and gifts.
